Who we are
Leadership
Sympatico Ventures founder and managing partner Eileen Donahoe is a former US technology diplomat, international lawyer, and human rights advocate.
She’s been deeply engaged in digital policy and global multistakeholder technology governance for several decades, including as U.S. Special Envoy and Coordinator for Digital Freedom in the Biden administration, as U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Human Rights Council in the Obama administration, and as co-founder of the Global Digital Policy Incubator at Stanford University.
At this juncture, with the benefit of having lived in Silicon Valley for the past 40 years, Eileen is excited to help seed the field of AI-alignment and support entrepreneurs building tools that enhance human agency, liberty, security, and trust.
